Took longer to fill in the hole than it took to dig out the stump! Lots of really big roots, but once the hole was filled in I went over the whole area with the big rotary tiller on the tractor and it pretty much ground the roots into small pieces that will quickly decay. Today you can’t even tell that there were ever stumps there at all. We’re starting to plan just what is going to go into that parcel of land now, which is a lot of fun and resulting in some interesting discussions.
