We pulled pretty much all of the onions this morning and they’re out curing in the garage. They just pretty much stopped growing and I decided to get them out of the ground before they began to go bad. They should have kept growing for at least another month, but they just seem to have given up. A bit disappointing. About half the size they should be for their age, but considering the drought and heat, well, I’m glad we got anything at all.
And we got a melon! Two of them! Woo Hoo! Surprised the heck out of me when Donna found the little stinkers growing out there. I figured they were all pretty much gone. Still have hope for the musk melon, though. They seem to be doing good. They’re running way, way behind where they should be, but maybe we’ll get something there.
